Anime: Please give us more episodes!

Date Published: Last Update:2015/05/13 Entertainment, Pop Culture & OTAKU , , , , ,

Have you ever tried watching a movie that didn’t have a clear ending? Have you ever tried listening to someone’s story, only to stop half way through? Does it bother you? In this post, I’ll share some anime flicks that I wish would continue and give us a last episode. Warning! Spoiler Alert.

List of Anime That I Think Should Have More Episodes

Buzzer Beater

Buzzer Beater is the not so typical sports anime. Its intergalactic basketball games like the one in Michael Jordan’s Space Jam. It’s about a team from planet earth, against an alien race team, playing hoops instead of going to war. At the later part of the anime, it was revealed that one of the star players from the earth’s team was from an alien race. I am still hoping the anime would continue and show us what would happen when the star player switches to the alien team and plays against his former teammates.

World’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi

One of the most entertaining martial arts anime I’ve seen so far. It has most of the aspects I like in a good anime, a little bit of drama, a lot of comedy, a hint of romance, and a lot of fight scenes. I’d recommend this to anyone starting to watch anime. Kenichi is about a typical high school boy who got into a fight and decided to go into Martial Arts training. He eventually defeats the boss of the Ragnarok gang in the end, but I was hoping it could show more episodes pertaining to how Kenichi and his masters would defeat the dark side of the martial arts world.

Btooom

This anime is definitely not for the young ones. This is about a boy who wakes up in an island, only to realize he has lost part of his memory and couldn’t remember how he got there. He then realizes that the people on the island, including him, were playing a deadly game of blowing up each other with bombs. Whoever lives to survive the game would be taken out of the island. The anime never showed who got off the island.

Skip Beat

A romantic comedy about a girl who got dumped by his rising star boyfriend. When she got dumped, she decided to take revenge on the guy by becoming a star more famous than her ex-boyfriend. She got into the entertainment business as an actress, and started off from auditioning for roles until she got a hit for a role on a TV drama series. It provided much entertainment, but the anime did not continue long enough to show her love life and how she progressed on her career.

School Rumble

This is a bit of an exception. This romantic comedy did actually show how it should have ended. But, maybe due to the anime’s production concerns or what not, could not create more episodes for its third season thus failing to show the development of the stories for each character in the anime. I still recommend the anime though, but be wary, because it’ll leave you wanting to know more. The anime is about a girl who has a crush on his high school classmate, and tries multiple times to confess her feelings for the guy. There’s this other guy, who has a crush on the girl, and there’s this other girl, who has the crush on the guy. Complicated but a lot of fun to watch.
